100% Michigan grown rye really shines in this gorgeous whiskey.
On the nose I get milled flour, fresh lumber, some vanilla blossom, dried orange peel. Surprisingly sweet for 100% rye, cherries, fresh orange, oak, and at the end, the characteristic peppercorn of rye. A great, smooth, sipping experience, the finish hangs on at the tip of the tongue with a cooling menthol sensation. Overall, a beautiful whiskey.
